My Clay Crafting Tools
Crafting with clay is fun, once you have the “correct” sets of tools to play it. Here are some of the few tools and stuff I used for my clay (paper clay and polymer clay) making. I’ve spend quite a lot on stencils, tools, stylus and not all of them are practical to the clay blending. The best tool that suits me was rather something very simple – “an aluminium made knitting needle” as seen in the picture on the top left. Is cheap and I used it in all my clay projects.
Two other machinery needed and compulsory are the clay machine as seen in bottom right and a special oven to bake them ( Do not to mix a food oven with this one, polymer clay creates an odor when baked ). If you decided to buy a clay baking oven, always buy those that can control temperature and time. A typical polymer clay will bake at 90 – 100 degree celcius. I’ll write more about the baking techniques much later on.
