Good Stuff’s Freeware of the Year
Content creation muahaha….sometimes live is tough in the world of content creation especially when it comes to getting the right tools to do your chores.Â
Well, this week I’ve prepared with a list of comprehensive offline tool to have for all bloggers, course creators, educators, teachers and content creators.
So, here goes tada….presenting my all in all Good Stuff freeware of the year 2008!
- ByteScout Post2Blog - Post2Blog 3 is a FREEWARE handy offline blog editor with live spell-checking support for pro-bloggers. If you are an experience blogger you will find this tool extremely helpful especially when managing multiple blog or migrating to another new ones.
- Microsoft’s Live Writer - Similar to Post2Blog, The Windows Live Writer is a desktop application that makes it easy to publish rich content to your blog.
- iSpring- For those who use powerpoint a lot as materials, here is your chance to convert them into flash so that is can be accessible on web without much a hassle. iSpring is a free plugin installed to your powerpoint (Supporting PPT 97,2003 and 2007) to publish your slides into a flash file. Imagine this you can now share your files into blogs and websites then, again there’s this site who does the same but, slideshare.net - but you prefer to store your own files iSpring is the right choice.
- Wink- yeah for those who wanna begin to create application tutorials on the web can try out this software, is a screen caster which records your mouse movement and screen and save it as flash files. Best part is FREE.
- Paint.NET - my all time favourite lightweight tool. If you are on Vista, you should try this software out because, is a great replacement for the MS-Paint. Comes with effects, layer controls, cropping, photo touch up tools and runs on dotNET Framework 2.0 (which is already pre-installed in Vista). What I like is you can also installed third party plugins developed by developers around the world to extend it’s ability.
- INKSCAPE - I haven’t really master this software yet, but it seems you can get simple diagrams and great vector art done is a jiffy with this. Output is in SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics). This software still needs a lot of room to improve in the sense of user interface since is still in early stage of development.
- Comiqs - Don’t just post your photo straight to your blog, add live to it…make it look comical by using Comiqs; a web based application which allows user to upload photos and then add some comical bubble on it and the output is your very own photo comic strip widget. Ain’t that sweet
